Part of me really wishes FO4's Assault Rifle was based on the Stoner rather than the Maxim or Lewis. It's Vietnam era so it's 60s, it's highly modular and customizable with many configurations, you could make it a rifle for regular men and some big machinegun for power armor troops just fine, and it just looks straight up better than what we got.
