But that house does not seem to have that much floor space, it is just built upwards. Also it is only 3 story tall with each floor being smaller + an attic, not 4-5. The lot is not that big so they built it upwards. You can find similar square meters in Hungary in areas with new development despite families being smaller nowadays. It is not some trad family thing
