ignore all retards in this thread, the real reason the game flopped was because they made a bee-line main quest that was the only thing that mattered when leveling and killing or participating in every other activity, even exploring was not as rewarding, if not at all. The entire point of maplestory was the slow grind with the ocasional rare drops, but MS2 didn't not have that. After you lvl capped all u did was daily gathering(daily cap) daily dungeons which once you unlocked a certain gear score you could move forward and basically if you wanted anything cool u had to be a paypig.

Honary mention of failure on Nexon's part was the late implementation of some kind of season pass that could hook the casul players into dropping 10$ per month and milk the whales for other shit, but nexon sucks major balls at marketting so they didn't do anything cool or creative. Also terribly de-sync, sPvP was absoulte garbage.
