Nukes are a meme but mainly in that they are not that bad. It's a device that causes a big explosion, okay; not always a convenient solution.
Iran could do equal or more damage using chemical and biological weapons without triggering any nuclear autism - although Israel would nuke them anyway.
There's also the matter of EMP to consider, a likely way that nukes will be used at some point
