as for your question, here are some suggestions:
- drop the gimmick: have her front facing. the majority of people playing a VN wouldn't care.
- keep her face hidden, but drop the tarots and use the cards as a stand-in for her face: have the facial expressions drawn on the cards. You'll have to make the card bigger to be seen.
- emote only through her eyes and eyebrows: that's more difficult. I don't think you can do it properly in the style of your drawings.
