It's bad for multiple reasons.
>another fucking daily, except it's timegated to when the boss spawns on top of having enough bodies to kill it
>channel hopping for boss kills always means that the boss will have garbage drop rates to supplement the ability to channel hop for kills.
>world bosses typically have boring movesets to accommodate the above and to avoid completely raping the servers with the servers often getting raped anyway
>all of the above means that world bosses are dead content after the first week or two of doing them, neets and/or whales usually bailing on them too unless there is a % damage dealt drop bonus (which itself is yet another problem)
>in the rare cases where the bosses aren't set to spawn at a specific time every time, they're gigacamped by neets regardless of whether the drops are good or not
This shit has been solved since EverQuest and FFXI, but those games at least had the decency to make said bosses have good shit. I can't recall any game from the 2010s or later that had worthwhile world bosses where the fights weren't used as an excuse to bolster player login times. Maybe GW2, if you exclude gear progression entirely?
