Yes and no. As you said, there are plenty of people whaling in older games. There is a huge player base for that, and they like it.
However, newer MMOs (2022+) or multiplayer games are less p2w. There is p2w for Western standards (any advantage=p2w), but they focus on cosmetics instead.
For example, whale/leviathan cosmetics, or cheap cosmetics bought by most players (remember that CN population is massive)

Afaik, the only p2w thing is the imagin gacha. But how expensive is it? And how does it affect finding a party as a DPS?
Taking another recent Chinese mobile MMO Sword of Justice as an example, the p2w is seasonal. Every end of season, once the highest difficulty of the raids appear, it's possible to craft a legendary weapon that will boost your stats by around 10~20%. However, it costs around $5k. And note that it's around the end of the season, so it will become almost obsolete as soon as a new season starts. So, people only whale for them for the weapons' skins, or if they want to fight for the top 10 spots in unbalanced PvP or GvG

Couldn't give you any exact numbers but it's probably similar to that, you'd be spending thousands for 10-20% increase, and there is no PvP or leaderboards so there's truly no point doing this especially if they're going to keep releasing new imagines that powercreep your old ones.

Well, you can get dyes without real money, through bound rose orbs, season shop, season pass itself, friendship coin shop, the market, even crafting.
If you're not dyeing a lot of outfits, you'll probably be fine, but it requires more of the vial thing if you go outside the box.

The dungeons are good yes, combat isn't bad but they rely on encounter design to make it fun since it's a bit simple, we've yet to see how the highest difficulty and raids look yet but the hard modes are already quite fun.
But it's also everything else, there's a lot of stuff to do unlike most other MMOs that come out recently, I haven't felt like "I have nothing to do I should just log out" in this game yet, even just helping others clear stuff they haven't done yet feels good cause you get "friendship coins" for doing so.
Game has many qol features that other games lack, there is no altism unlike all the gookslop, you can play all classes on the same character without even having to re-level them etc.

On top of that, the character customization is really nice, the emotes are great, costumes look good, even if I did feel like there's nothing to do I wouldn't mind staying online just to hang out and socialize in the town, lots of people gather in the tavern and just mess around.

I don't think guild outfits could even become mandatory in a 4chan guild considering the type of people that browse this site. In my ideal scenario, it would be uniforms being mandatory in clan pictures/first guild raid clears. With a few generous anons helping out other less fortunate anons acquire said uniforms. AoE is not usually a big deal, but both specs are pretty weak in AoE.
Overdrive can spam the shit out of their nuke skill in AoE though since every hit against every enemy counts for procs so it's probably better than Aerial there.
In current dungeons there isn't that much downtime, I think overdrive is a good spec if you're able to keep up with how demanding it is, the biggest DPS loss would be if your ring falls off because it goes on cooldown when that happens instead of from when you cast it, but it has a node that makes it consume less when you're under 50% so it's quite difficult to lose it once your character is built, it would need to be a long downtime or for you to overspend your courage.

It doesn't affect your rotation or attack speed.
What it affects is the delay between you hitting the enemy and the damage being applied, which really only makes slow weapons feel bad like heavy guardian, you don't notice it much with faster attacks (pretty much every class except HG is fast enough to not notice it)
It also affects your dodge timing, you will have to dodge earlier but the dodge timing is quite forgiving.
You'll probably need a ping booster but as long as you're around ~200 or below I think it's good enough, more than that could make dodging feel quite bad.

They both use int gear so you can share it, so you won't have to refarm gear and your quality upgrades won't be behind (there is a weeky limit to how many reforge stones you can get so if you want multiple gear sets you'll be behind on quality)
The other systems that make it difficult to multiclass are imagines and skill books, for imagines, you can just use ones that would work for both like INT boost etc, so the only thing you'll really be behind on is skill books, but you could split them evenly and just take the loss there, or dump most of them into your DPS class since people are more lenient about tank/healer gearscore.

It is casual to an extent, to get most of the rewards in the game requires only a small amount of time, you can put in massively more time to get slightly more gearscore, that's really it.
Multiclassing sucks because of timegated progression which makes it easier for casuals to keep up, as long as you main one class you probably won't feel like the game is too grindy, it's the opposite of Korean shit where you must play multiple characters to keep up.
