No it'd still be ass. With Wilds the mainline team realized what they sought to do since fucking Tri, aka more story and overlong opening tutorials. This is why I prefer playing games like Freedom Unite and Rise, they get the ball rolling faster and don't force the player to slow down. I think what absolutely kills me the most though is that surely Capcom heard about Handler being disliked the walking segments of nothing to the point it felt as though Rise making some of the villagers monster combatants and Sunbreak giving us followers felt like an upfront apology. Turns out I was wrong because Wilds doubled down the walking and talking segments, but cutscenes are skippable now so that makes up for it (not really).

Like holy shit that's not making me want to play your game. It makes me want to turn it off and play something else that won't waste my time. Hell even worse Wilds' gameplay has me wishing I was playing Sunbreak instead because I'm sick of mainline team gutting all the skills, weapons, and armor for sake of appealing to a wider audience. And I'm never making a new character in Wilds much like World before it because who in the right fuck mind what's to sit through that shit more than once?
