I read the whole article and even clicked on the Reddit link to Wuchang and I’ve never been more disappointed in humanity. One of the problems with this “critique” souls like meme is that all throughout the article most of the criticisms seems extremely vague while mostly only being tied to difficulty which is insanely subjective. They mention how people were super ass mad over the ER DLC but fail to communicate why that was and what changes were made. Then they do that gay retarded meme where they fallaciously link the answer to all these problems to fucking difficulty sliders. Nothing about map design or gotcha traps or enemy patterns or roll catching or heal catching or combos that go on forever or nothing. Just turn the damage down chud!!!!! And the Wuchang Reddit thread is fucking gay I actually thinks it’s a fucking false flag. People will put up with so much shit from a Fromsoft game but the moment a game does the exact same thing but with no Fromsoft logo all of a sudden it’s “REEEEEEEEE THIS IS FUCKING UNFAAAAAAAAIR!!!!”. Never mind the fact that even at Wuchang’s most difficult the game is still more manageable than end game ER or even end game Khazan. Fuck Nioh 1 is harder than Wuchang. And that’s not to say Wuchang is a cake walk but there’s no way on gods green earth that these faggots are actually saying Nioh 1 is heckin fair and balanced but Wuchang is just busted. And this is even with the knockdown issue which is greatly overrated as a core problem with the game (though I’m fine with it getting adjusted).
This is why Wuchang and other souls likes not made by Fromsoft will never escape the 80’s metacritic curse. Journos have accepted Fromsoft as the one who can abuse them and everyone else gets an HR report.
