Just gotta comfort ourselves with the potential alternatives of Takumi loving her or aborting their quest for Retsnom. I think giving up on Retsnom works good and gives Darumi a cute opportunity to comfort Takumi with a lap pillow but then probably just regular hugging while he cries

I feel like the happiest outcome for them is to just never find the Retsnom books and maybe just give up at a point and then they just hang out every day like the romance routes

Really wish Takumi was more physically affectionate with Darumi during the route too like he was with Tsubasa in KG. Different writers I suppose but I’ve seen a lot of people who play the route just want Takumi to give her a hug during certain points (and I did as well)
