I imagine that in Overlord end at least, at some point Takumi enters the Defence Room and Shion ends up affected by his pheromones, because I don't see a course of action where Eito and the others don't view him as a threat if they can't get him under Takumi's control. On a side note, I think it'll be difficult for them to put out a DLC route where the war ends early or the plan to use the missiles gets called off; if Shion doesn't have to use all his energy to fuel the missiles, I'm pretty sure he can solo everyone bar Dahl'xia or V'ehxness.

So here’s the deal. There are two endings that have an argument for being the “true ending”:
The first is called Second Scenario. It answers all the mysteries from the prologue and it brings the story to a conclusion, but it doesn’t really tie into any of the other 99 endings.
The second is called the SF route. This also provides an ending to the story and it does tie together some other routes as well, including the serial killer route, but at the cost of kind of abandoning the story from the prologue and doing its own thing.
I would recommend doing both if you want the most complete perspective on the story.

Reminder the original idea was Kodaka would only write two routes (Prologue and 2nd Scenario), while the other writers all did their own routes under Uchikoshi's supervision... but so many routes were unfinished close to release that Kodaka had to step in and work on nine additional routes and write Cult in two weeks.

I kind of want to make a cheat sheet outlining what routes to play depending on what you're after but it sounds like a pain in the ass.

It’s kind of unfortunate that SF made Hiruko into such a great character, but most of her characterization outside of SF makes her out to be an unlikable sociopath.
Obviously you have the NTR thing in the bonding events, but then if you read the prequel story it talks about how she couldn’t get pleasure out of anything so she had to keep doing progressively more extreme things in Kabukicho (flirting with women at a host club, domming people in a BDSM dungeon, etc) just to feel anything at all. None of the stuff she did was inherently bad per se, but it is a classic symptom of sociopathy and kind of a worrying sign.

Kodaka went too far with the NTR breeding shit, but I appreciate the genuine edge his Hiruko has with the love for killing and blood and everything gorey, S.F. Hiruko is much more toned down and leans towards classic femdon tropes rather than a unique personality. Uchikoshi's strength was never his character writing, after all.

I completely disagree with Hiruko being a sociopath. That term is reserved for only Eito, which some anon genuinely tried to argue that Hiruko was somehow worse in a previous thread. Needless to say but that's plain cut out nonsensical cope,
Hiruko is a very emotional character who cares deeply more than anyone else, it's just her methods for love are unconventional but it doesn't undermine her feelings.

I should probably ignore instead of getting sucked into THe DiSCoUrsE, but I don't think it's the gotcha people think it is. They were all created using Shion's DNA, sure, but they can't be perfect clones 'cause true clones can't have different hair, eye, or skin colors. To me they seem like hybrids made by grafting Shion's Futuran DNA onto a human genome to induce the cryptoglobin gene. That wouldn't result in enough genetic similarity between the "clones" to cause problems.

Really wish Takumi was more physically affectionate with Darumi during the route too like he was with Tsubasa in KG. Different writers I suppose but I’ve seen a lot of people who play the route just want Takumi to give her a hug during certain points (and I did as well)

Had to have this pointed out to me as well but she surprisingly didn’t seem to actually care about the group that died, she was only looking into it because Takumi cared and it was upsetting him. It’d probably end up with him being consumed by his guilt but then could have a cute scene him being comforted by her (I’ve done a lot of thinking on stuff with them since I want to actually write out some of them)
