I finally just got to start ZA tonight.
I’m like, 20 minutes in, I just learned to roll and dash.
Not even the end of the tutorial, and I’m making a /v/ thread, like damn, that’s not a good sign.
Why does it seem so cheap? Like, the graphics are ‘fine’ I guess at a glance. But like, in the opening gameplay, why am I immediately fixed on ‘damn, these animations are so stiff’. Like, its fucking 2025 and npcs move like they’re in pokemon colosseum. Its def not pushing the boundaries to have people move not like robots, especially for a headliner AAA console seller.
I have fucking nothing to say about no voice acting, there is NO excuse. Its so jarring. Even just the actual characters if you wanted to keep rando trainers quiet. Unacceptable.
The 2 battles I did seemed… different? Not really pokemon but ok its new I’ll try it. I’m more or less doing this blind so idk how deep it gets. Me, the trainer running around seems…. Pointless? At least in trainer fights. In arceus you didn’t really do it much in a battle.
