No although I did handle parcels that, if I had to bet, I'd guess contained drugs. Like some shithole block of flats getting 2-3 small jiffy bags every day. Just a hunch.

I didn't enjoy it. There was a very boisterous, laddish culture in the sorting warehouse that I didn't fit into due to being a meek autistic lad. To add to that, most routes had 2 posties on them so you couldn't just be on your own once you got out in the van. Instead you had to sit alongside this other postie who hated you for being an uninteresting autistic prick and fed that back to the others at the sorting office.

The repetitive nature of the job also annoyed me. Working the same route every day for several weeks, knowing that I'd be doing the exact same thing tomorrow and there was no end to it. Also I fucking HATED delivering parcels: knocking on their door and stood there waiting only for no one to be in, then having to fill out a form. Had it only been letters I might have stuck to the job but fuck parcels.
