Taking into account the writer's intention and preachy messaging about modern male sensitivity and whatnot, the sentence is emasculating for a non-lowtest male, yes.
But I'll be honest, anons, taking it out of the context of nugow, on its own it's a good message.
Kratos in the original series is the most dudebro tier glory chasing hedonistic violent nigger who sold his soul to god for power and victory, then we're supposed to empathize with him when his hubris and decisions actually bite him in his fucking ass.
I like the PS2 and PSP titles for the fun combat and the Greek visuals, but I could never care about Kratos and his story for one bit, ever. He's a stereotypical piece of shit who'd have bullied any of you in school just because, no idea why you nerds glorify him. He has selfish goals and regularly inflicts unnecessary cruelty to characters who don't deserve it, biggest example is the ship captain, or there's Poseidon's Princess getting shredded into pieces, the captive who gets burned alive, the scholars who get their skulls smashed to the tomes, etc. It's distasteful, I can empathize with Virus Alex from Prototype but could never do that with this guy. Warrior Within does the selfish anti-hero trope a dozen times better.
Original Kratos has zero heroic qualities, anons. Fucking ZERO.
Being better does not have to mean you have to be a cuckold male feminist raising other people's kids and forgiving your enemy last of us style, but you should develop some positive heroic qualities and virtues on your journey.
