Help me out here:

Am I being a retard for wanting to buy a bike between October and January in western Europe, where it doesn't even snow in December anymore?
Most of the time I'd use it for daily commutes and weekend tours, when the roads are ice-free I wouldn't mind driving it on the highways either. I even have access to a garage for the times I'm not gonna use it (most likely when it really gets shitty and freezing from january to mid march).

So far, people have given me different angles on purchasing a bike now:
>"they're most likely cheaper because dealerships gotta get rid of this/last year's models"
>"why would you buy one in winter when it's too cold and dangerous to drive?"
>"prices don't vary that much anymore, doesnt matter when you buy it"
>"it takes twice as long to get ready to drive to/from work on a bike than it takes to do it in a car"

They all make sense somehow, but it's what my heart wants. Are there any good reasons for buying one now instead of waiting another 3 to 5 months?
Just give me your objective takes on whether or not I'm being a naive idiot here for wanting to buy a bike now.
