While I do enjoy how gross and unsettling it is, if Dess really turned out to be a groomer there would be no chance for her to leave the story alive. I genuinely think the game’s theme of escapism being equal parts good and dangerous would work better if Dess came back to the Light World alive but crippled and in need of rehabilitation due to her time spend in the dark. Plus come on, Rudy’s gonna kick the bucket any minute now, Carol’s going to jail/psych ward for trying to get the local police officer sacrificed to a dark god, Noelle deserves SOMETHING good in her life!
