I do empathize with where you’re coming from and agree it’s difficult to overcome. You have to eventually make peace with there being things you cannot change. Helping on a small scale is less satisfying than saving everyone, but imagine if you were one of the few people that someone helped. That help doesn’t just stay with them, but extends to everyone they’ll interact with from that point on. A future child could end up having a happy childhood because you were one of the people assisting their parent from poverty or some other issue. Good deeds radiate out into the world, despite all the shitty things in it.

I was leaning into the whole True Pacifist thing being a secret.

Working a weird fic where Dess is stuck in a Silent Hill like copy of hometown for a few years and this is after she gets saved. The idea is that the whole place put a muffle on all of her senses and when she crossed back over, they slowly came back and become way too heightened.
Basically she gets temporary hyper-autism overstimulation from EVERYTHING. That’s the easiest way to sum it up. Feels weird I went down this route but I like it.
