Furthermore on their love of beauty, what they build is meant to last and show their adoration in their people (and potentially Gods). In Warhammer, statues of the ancestor gods are everywhere, and some of the most beautifully carved took generations of dedicated dwarfs to make. And each Hold is structured to last forever. Despite many holds like Moria (or the hundreds in Warhammer) being lost or abandoned, they're built to still last forever and many admire the work that was laid out hundreds or thousands of years before. I think in essence, dwarfs now touch fans that have an admiration of the past and desire a strong community. You see old churches and buildings that stood the test of time in their beauty and you compare it to the modern art shit. Or how many are lonely today because they have no friends or family they have close ties to. People see that, and you see dwarfs and they're the epitome of good old traditions. Just like the dwarfs, the traditions they once admired are dying or have been long gone. But as long as they stand, they'll keep going and try to bring it back to the good old days. As long as there is one son of Durin or Grungni, they won't ever kneel.
