I don't think you realize just how split subcultures are, even by the algorhithm. There's a reason people use terms like "[insert thing] twitter" or "[insert thing] tiktok", and it's because automated systems generally keep things split unless serving it to a wider audience would create more interaction Even then, in most cases, that just entails showing a subculture something that they broadly hate (i.e. libshit videos getting pushed onto rightwing spaces and vice versa) since that's what drives interaction. If anything, the splits between subcultures have become more fervent and zealous than they ever have because creating nigh-religious devotion to specific subcultures is what modern social media algorithms are LITERALLY designed to do.
