There's a reason people use terms like "[insert thing] twitter" or "[insert thing] tiktok", and it's because automated systems generally keep things split unless serving it to a wider audience would create more interaction Even then, in most cases, that just entails showing a subculture something that they broadly hate (i.e. libshit videos getting pushed onto rightwing spaces and vice versa) since that's what drives interaction. I've had them explain at length how there's a noticable cultural divide between the three and the subcultures that have emerged on the platforms themselves, too. For example, IG Reels apparently is either the most normalfag site to ever normalfag or a completely unmoderated shitfest full of rekt videos and other shock content, and it depends entirely on what you interact with. I found this kind of shocking because my aging mother actually uses IG Reels and has never once told me about anything like that, which tells me her algorithm has fully cemented her as a turbo normalfag. Out of curiousity, I made an account to see what it's like and within a few minutes of scrolling and clicking on only a handful of stupid meme edits I saw a video using the audio from that old /gif/ shock video of a brick going through a car's front window and killing the driver.

Just because you've grown too out of touch to see the dividing lines in culture and subculture doesn't mean they've stopped existing. It just means you've stopped paying attention and are too bitter and lonely to interact with those still in touch.

I picked up Fortnite purely because it's the only multiplayer game my friends are willing to play. And they introduced Miku and I'm a sucker for Vocaloid

Undertale/Deltarune are genuinely quite good with great soundtracks and is this gen's "Weird RPG" the way that Earthbound was for millennials, just a lot more accessible.
Minecraft is a good game and is a great "hang out" game because it's easy to join and drop and do stuff while chatting, it's social and artistic for zoomers.
Roblox, it was great but now it's very "mobile game" filled, I can understand why people liked it and there's plenty of gems but you need to dig past how sweatshop the game's become.

It's too easy to grief. In survival any retard can make a tnt farm and blow up or lavacast the town you spent days gathering the materials in about five seconds. Collecting pearls for the endgame sucks. Enchanting gear sucks. Redstone isn't fun. There's the skeleton of a good game there but minecraft is very mediocre.

As someone who only started playing it recently, it's a pretty solid shooter with friends. The novelty never really wears off because they're swapping out weapons and shit basically every other day.
