The biggest unspoken advantage of adding champion skin pieces into (mostly) general customization pool is that with every champion skin we'll essentially be getting "free" cosmetics. The crusader's helm off of BT Champion piqued my interest, even though I'm not the biggest Templar's fan, but it will look cool with some of the combinations I'm sure.
