What I think is the worst thing about Wilds is that they don't really have to "remove" anything from the game to make it 10x better, except for the cutscenes they need to go, they just need to stop babying the fucking playerbase and balance the game accordingly with a proper difficulty curve and add stuff to the experience that isn't story based:
>Bird-dog can stay, even with auto-pathing, just make it so that your Sekrit CANNOT be mounted while you have monster aggro and if you do manage to mount it and start using items on its back the monster should literally turn into a scaly/furry heat seeking missile that is out for (you)r blood until it has managed to knock you off or you manage to flee.
>Make the auto-pathing flawed by making it so that you actually have to track the monster, your Sekrit will lead you to a point on the map, walk around and "sniff" the monster out before it starts running to the next point on the map, repeat a few times until you reach the monster, it should only be allowed to do this AFTER you have found the monster and damaged it or picked up track from it which then resets every hunt. How many times the Sekrit "fails" to find the monster should be based on proximity to it and how many tracks you have found so far during the hunt.
>Focus mode can stay as is but make monsters actually react to it, if the player is more responsive then the monsters needs the same benefits.
>They need to add the old armor systems back into the game, World fucked it up by removing the point based effects and by removing negative effects attached to gear
>We need 5x more build variety and wacky effects attached to gear, said effects should require some actual effort from the players to obtain
>They need to take a hard and long look at weapon balance and redo all of it
>Rebalance elemental res and damage, you should never be allowed to be max tanky or deals to most DPS if you don't tune your load outs for each individual monster
