From what I've learnt with PC gaming is that you buy a system (better if you build it yourself) and then, just upgrade ONCE the video card and only if it is worth the expense, because new video hardware usually gets bottlenecked if the rest of the system is not on par. Even my AMD card is not running optimal due to GPU/bus limitations.
Then you buy a whole new system and sell the old one, through an ad or whatever, just to regain something, even if just a little (for example I sold my previous PC to someone who wanted to play with Linux and whatever).
Lately tho we have the problem with software enhancing techs, like DLSS and FSR for example that may render obsolete cards much, much faster if the company decides to not support older stuff. IMHO things are finally settling down but 2020 to 2024 hardware purchase has been a living nightmare.
Also software houses releasing sloppy software "we'll fix it later, just apply frame generator" did not help AT ALL.
