What if there are two different extermination periods that occurred and the Storybook features the old one?

Lute was created for the first uprising of Hell that occurred under Lilith, explaining why there are barely any ancient sinners around.

And in the new exterminations, Adam and Lute were involved but Sera created a whole army of Exorcists in a pact with them to try to hide the entire operation under the rug. Which explains a lot on why Adam and Lute didn’t look at them as “these honorable soldiers died in battle” and instead seemed to treat them like hyperactive little girls. Because they were hyperactive seven-year-old little girls. And weren’t even aware that said little girls could be killed in the first place (because Sera is a JOKE that gives no damns except for Emily and Sinners she has never interacted before).

In other words, Adam fathered a massive family with Lute off-screen seven years ago, and Sera, who is still using them as expandable soldiers, hands them to Abel of all people. Not even someone that can handle these immature children, but is one himself, and will likely cause all of them to die. Sera is the worse. Why did the Speaker tolerated any of this chaos? Why didn’t Lute and the exorcists get retired on the spot so none of them will go completely insane by the losses they already have and will continue to have by staying in that honestly horrible job they were prompted to think was an honorable duty? Why does Adam have to suffer even more kid and almost-wife issues?
