My guess would be Cass is sister to one of the late parents. Maybe the mom's sister since I don't think it was ever hinted that her last name is 'Hamada.' I haven't read the OG comic series, so maybe that'll shed some more familial insight.

Braly is still venturing out to do new shit, and rather quickly too. I personally don't feel we need that Amphibia sequel graphic novel miniseries, but I'm not against it. It's not like it came out of nowhere; Braly had always been teasing a Grown-Up Polly spin-off even back when the show was first ending. Now if ALEX HIRSCH came out and announced a Gravity Falls continuation? THAT would be disappointing since he spent the last decade insisting those characters' stories were over.
