The assassination thing while I 100% get where your coming from can't be equated with the modern day. All the ways you could be assassinated these days compared to 04 A.D are just so enormous it's dumb to even discuss honestly.

But yes like all good leaders you need to balance the seclusion and the social availability/overall image.

Things are not like they were in 1936-45 either it's way worse....Hitler even with how purposely erratic he made his movement etc during the whole reign could have been kirk'd a few times and almost died to a bomb ....these days if some other governments(or Rothschild's) "KGB" assassin wants to kill you during a speech/ public event they will for a fact if they are sufficiently set on doing it.
