Depends what you consider a desk jockey to be. Unlike programmers I work with hardware almost exclusively hence infrastructure. I don't just push some buttons and boom you now have a network. In short I'm the dude who builds the server rack and the one who configures it. That means I run drops, pull cable, mount hardware into the rack and setup all the connections in the "server room".
A desk jockey wouldn't do half the shit I do.
