Eroge is already in a bad position with most publishers needing Steam sales to be profitable. Being forced underground is just going to make them completely fold. Alicesoft for example was already completely crippled from Evenicle 2 and Rance getting banned from Steam. If they aren't already dead, this will finish them off for good. So no, going back underground is NOT for the best.

You effectively do need Steam 99% of the time to sell PC games because otherwise your game will flop because almost no one buys outside of Steam.
