A Jew messiah who thought his Temple was polluted by Roman occupation and Sadducee collaborators (the Whores of Babylon) would have done a heck of a lot more than hit dudes who were selling pigeons to be sacrificed, with some shoelaces. And why would it work? They just let him do it? The Temple guards just let him do it? Maybe the real story of Yeshua at the Temple is a lot more bloody— if there was one.

Sounds like some early wewuzzing to me. The core of Revelation is a Jewish apocalypse. It’s a Jewish fantasy about Roman genocide. Christians took it, invented “John of Patmos” to separate the Jewish Messiah Jesus from the bloodthirsty visions, revised it, and added the letters to the churches much later. The really fascinating and disturbing thing is how a Jewish fantasy of YHWH liquidating the Romans became holy writ FOR Romans. What the fuck? How does that happen?
