man used bacteria to transform plastic environmental waste into paracetamol drug molecules
he literally pulled a bacteria out from his ass

e-coli bacteria which lives in human anus, was genetically engineered with mrna shot to start produce a chemical which converts plastic into paracetamol (acetaminophen) drug which is used as a painkiller
"People don't realise that paracetamol comes from oil currently," said Prof Stephen Wallace, the lead author of the research from the University of Edinburgh
What is crude oil? As weird as it sounds it is pracitcally liquid plastic.
"What this technology shows is that by merging chemistry and biology in this way for the first time, we can make paracetamol more sustainably and clean up plastic waste from the environment at the same time."
Wallace and colleagues report how they discovered that a type of chemical reaction called a Lossen rearrangement, a process that has never been seen in nature, was biocompatible.
The only thing left to do was use mrna technology to rewrite bacterial code to produce the required chemical which causes transforming plastics into paracetamol
Does paracetamol itself occur in nature? It doesnt. It was discovered by pure chance by human chemists decades ago.
