damn i just had a wild thought if you manage to gain FTL travel you can essentially travel to any point in the past as you can out run light making it so you're able to look back at where it has been before it gets there
so if you take into account that the future isn't set in stone but a probability collapse you might become god just by look at your own history making it so by doing so creating a causal finite line out of the random causality as now that youve seen your past it has to lead up to you seeing it
aka the future isnt set in stone but neither is the past until you make it so or it creates a butterfly effect and you cease to exist fixing the problem
i bet this could be used in a book or something about free will vs determinism in the fate of ones soul after eating a forbidden fruit or some shit
where being a god would make you a god of determinism that was always meant to be or a breaker of reality as every ones known it to be reborn something new in a foreign land
