The longer the war goes on, and the more sanctions and import and export restrictions are applied, the better off Russia will be in the long run because she'll be forced to develop domestic supply to replace imports and also to give up capitalism so it doesn't need to export its real wealth for mostly fictional fiat currency in foreign bank accounts. And that real wealth can go to Roshans instead of the esteemed western partners. But this is incompatible with a for-financial-profit operated economy.
