Of course I don't think there's benefit in it. All it does is add context to my current situation. If I weren't to include or try to make them understand, then I WOULD look unemployed and lazy.
The frustration I have isn't because of people not believing me, it's because the gravity of such a situation doesn't hit home for them. I don't blame them, because it doesn't compute with how they think the world works. While they only rage against the confusion for a couple of minutes max, I have to live with the confusion everyday.
Why else would you explain the phenomenon of a holder of a STEM degree and 7 years of experience not even being able to find work if it's not just for exposing the lunacy of it?
