>If you read the rest of that sentence it's clearly explained
No, no it isn't. In fact you went on a tangent from the original point as it is but anyway it still doesn't follow SA1's style as it is.
>SA1/2 has character upgrades and so does 06
That wasn't even the point about character upgrades, you're not even following the conversation properly.
>My original point wasn't talking about any other character but Sonic anyway.
That's the point, you can't claim it's the same if the majority of the characters, and even sonic himself, play differently from their adventure counterparts.
>to keep players from spamming the spindash button.
Anon, if they wanted to do that then they would have just had the somersault activate while you're moving with the spindash being a stationary action. Instead you can spam it just by cancelling and using it over and over.
Like I said, it's slower but still spammable.
>I didn't say it was exactly the same thing
Of course you didn't. I'm saying you didn't and that's what's making your argument flawed because it needs to be the same for your argument to work.
>, it's an allusion
It's not. It's a completely different thing unrelated to Gamma's gameplay. It's not an allusion because you want it to be.
I mean, chaos spear has been a thing since SA2 and you wouldn't call that an allusion to Gamma so why would you now?
>that just makes it more blatant that they were using Omega to reference Gamma/the mechs from SA2.
Again, no. It's setting it apart from the rest of adventure.
You'd have a point if Omega had a hover module like the one you find in adventure but he doesn't.
>Every little bit adds up anon.
Yes, when they're actually related. Not when it's just something incredibly basic since you can just connect anything to anything at that point.
>Billy hatcher is a sonic game because the egg rolls and sonic rolls!
That's just stupid and disregards the game.
You'd have a point if it were like Illbleed's Zodik but not like that.
