What is this "profiles" shit Firefox keeps shilling?

Don't tell me that they promoted the "containers" extension into a main feature and called it "profiles"...
If yes, then I guess I don't even need to ask, you cannot just "upgrade" the "containers" extension into said official profiles feaure, at least not without losing all your preciously segregated cookies.
