I got this when my inflammatory condition was raging and racking slides and recoil were my enemy. Now through modern medicine it's tolerable and I'm at a crossroads for my next purchase. Do I get a more powerful carry gun to replace the tomcat or do I get a full-size to compliment it? I thought of getting some variation of the 92fs because recoil is still an issue for me and it being DA/SA would make it easier for me to train my brain for both the tomcat and 92 and make the 1st shot more consistent in a dangerous scenario. My other option is to get a compact striker-fired. Issue with that is I'd feel like I wasted money on the tomcat and training would be harder on my hands due to being made of polymer and smaller. Upside is a more viable carry gun.

Some more info is I don't train often, I haven't even gone to the range yet because of my health. I don't expect to buy another gun for a long time. Currently I'm leaning on getting a 92, if I can find an inox for a decent price then my guns would be a matching set alongside the benefits I stated. But my glockbro friend says the 92 is trash and I should move to a more modern gun. He says it's cheaper to get a striker-fired and use the excess cash on an optic but I'm not sure I will train enough to make that useful.
