Mr. Sparky, it's quite of you to call me a loser so unprompted. I had read the image you sent but it still doesn't change Ms. Amy's characterization in the actual, existing, Sonic the Hedgehog video games.
Secondary media is nice. It can often be fun and fluffy filler, that makes our hearts pitter-patter with delight to see our favorite characters like Mr. Sonic, Mr. Tails, and even Ms. Amy.
But just because it features our favorite characters doesn't mean it accurately reflects their depictions in the games. Ms. Amy in the games is a very very lovey-dovey woman, as her theme song shows. Maybe even too much... She's so lovey-dovey that it scares Mr. Sonic away! He can't handle how lovey-dovey she is...
He is like the wind, and she's chasing after a hurricane, hoping she can get it contained so she can hug it tight. But that doesn't make it right...
Trying to constrain the wind is just going to make it sad, it'll lose its luster, and pitter-patter out. It's especially disappointing when there's other characters, like Ms. Cream, who do meet what many desire in Ms. Amy.
And this is where I have to call out your hypocrisy, Mr. Sparky. You say Cream should be shelved. That Ms. Cream dilutes Ms. Amy's character, but...
Ms. Amy never had a character outside of her obsessive attachment to Mr. Sonic. Ms. Cream is the feminine character with a big heart and an adventurous spirit. You want to give Ms. Amy Ms. Cream's personality and lock away Ms. Cream. But that isn't fair, especially when you want Ms. Amy to take Cream's personality traits. You'll say it's because of a children's manga and some 'deeper lore', but... What sense does it make to shelf a game character and give their personality to another? Wouldn't it make more sense if one character's personality was problematic in the games to bench them instead?
Especially when changing Ms. Amy has been so divisive...
