Yes, considering places of employment don't let you simply email your CV, you have to go through some bullshit expressly to stop people from applying to multiple places.
It doesn't work still, as they get flooded with applicants none the less because people realized no one's going to call back so you better apply to 100 jobs to maximize your chances.
