Jax is 22, is that 22 before or after spending years in the circus? that is young, and he clearly has an unhealthy coping mechanism and is deliberately pushing people away. This is some of the most basic pedological shit imaginable. All these characters have clear mental illness to the point that it's possible the circus is deliberately filled with mentally ill people.
