I just read the sweetest story promoting pet rats. But it said to get two in case one dies and the other gets lonely and then it made me feel sad again and reminded me why I dont want pets.

I guess I will have to wait for my wild rabbits to come back. It seems all I can be responsible for to animal friends is to just keep doting on wild critters so they are kept fed and as safe as I can make it.

This is Fat Bunny. She left in spring when the green came back and didnt have to loiter at my place so much. There are many new rabbits about, which is nice. And the nutty birds of course. The summer heat seems to have made them quiet.
