>Their last DC effort was total crap
I'll politely disagree. I thought the deigns were serviceable, sculpts were mostly good and selections were great. It was also in 6 inch scale and compatible with Marvel Legends And other lines but /toy/ has always had a hateboner for DCUC, mostly for articulation or at least that was the excuse.

>that horrific subscription model that pissed people off
And I was one of them

>McFarlane did some things to set Mattel up for failure
Agree maybe for different reasons but Todd's run just didn't FEEL like DC. Also who the fuck was buying mono colored variants of characters?
>start the collector line at a ridiculously high price
Agreed, any other observation is a /pol/ issue

>They will have to make deeper cuts
The DCUC line made deeper cuts than anyone in DC toy history, Ultra Humanite, OMAC, Jemm, Silver Age Doom Patrol, Metal Men were miracles.

>screwed if they do and screwed if they don't on scale
You are 100% correct on that. DC toy fans are already heavily splintered because age/era of DC history but now you have to throw size/scale into consideration as well.

> they are chained to Gunn's movies
I suppose this is to be expected, question is how much wiggle room will they have?

Personally I'm not expecting DCUC to come back but I am hoping for 6inch scale and the occasional comic accurate deep cut but if we get 7inch modern I'll just continue to cherry pick.
