I should state that I'm also someone who prefers invasions to duels. Like dueling can be impressive, but it's not where FromSoft PvP flourishes. The closest equivalent I can think of is probably open world PvP in MMOs, but every instance of this is more wildly imbalanced than any FromSoft game ever was.
