I literally have no issue running the Lan 1 as a spawn next to the point and blitz squad complementary to my Lan 50 squad which I use for longer range work. I prefer it over the Thompson for its sights, MV, and fugly britishness. I have used the 1928 in its place and wasn't impressed. Coming back to the Lan 1 on ass4s after not using it for awhile legitimately feels like it was stealth buffed. Many weapons with lots of spread or scatter feel really good laying down a wide cone of death in room to room engagements and the Lan 1 is a principle example. It's basically a BR3 obrez and is excellent in that capacity. The comparison to the 1918 is poorly made because these weapons should be considered in context of the factions available equipment not whatever statistical similarity you are fixated on. Would I rather have a ppsh? Sure I guess? But the Lan 1 is basically ppsh at home and can be used well in that niche. If you want to play the weapon like something it isn't that is on you.

The delisle can tear ass at BR1 if 1) you have good aim 2) you are in a low profile position on the flank or behind the enemy. Double tapping is trivial with its RoF and the standard ammo pool is obscene which is great for BR1 crowd control. The damage buff and fixed sights helped it quite a bit also. It's one of the higher skill weapons in the game but not the garbage rod it formerly was. I wouldn't be opposed to another damage buff but it would be obscenely OP in a good players hands with that kind of change.
