Yup, based on pro-wrestlers, which I guess Oda thinks sounds Viking-ish, and they kinda do. Same with the name Elbaf itself. Oda has given lots of characters actual Scandinavian names this arc though.

Not really I would say. The Ancient Giant lineage is distant and only exist in trace amounts. Loki is likely 99% regular Giant, but the larger size and horns are dominant features.
