Just finished Wano on my first readthrough. Quick summary of thoughts:
>Feels like most of the SHs barely matter for most of the arc. Sanji, Usopp, Brook, Frankie, and Robin all kinda don't matter outside maybe one specific fight (e.g. black maria) or moment (e.g. building ships) and unlike other arcs don't even really feel like MCs vs the retainer crew.
>Way, way, way too many random characters get introduced then hardly matter. The Tobiroppo may be the most blatant "we exist solely to have additional fights with the side-characters" enemy squad in the series.
>Oden is alright and I don't get the hate for him specifically. Flashback for him was fun, none of the lore reveals were irksome, his death was pretty good even if clearly ""borrowed"" from folklore, etc.
>Big Mom feels wasted. Really expected she was gonna be held back for when the SHs get to the giant's kingdom given her backstory but instead she's kind of a joke character for this arc that dies off weirdly easy.
>Kaido fucking sucks. Almost 0 personality or backstory, no real motives besides vague shit about joyboy, and the suicidal drunk shtick barely comes up when it's the first hook we actually get for what he's like as a person.

Because Bandai doesn't see any reason to pump enough money into a One Piece game. They do this thing with every IP apart from Dragon Ball where they give the rights to an overworked, inadequate studio and have them rush out a game in 2.5 years, and if it fails they convince themselves there's no market for it. They think that, since the only One Piece games that "do well" are mobile and the Pirate Warrior series, that's the only thing people want for them.

We could get another fighting game or an open world action game or another RPG, but chances are it's going to be half assed. The RPG will probably not do well because modern anime gamers don't like that, but if the open world action game and the fighter at least look pretty there's a chance it might have some staying power, but I doubt it.
