>What?
If you read the rest of that sentence it's clearly explained. Kind of sound like you're just unfamiliar with how SA1 structured its progression/reused stages compared to SA2.
>It wasn't.
??? SA1/2 has character upgrades and so does 06. Heroes and Shadow don't. Not sure what you're confused about.
>I just told you that it's limited to Sonic
And? My original point wasn't talking about any other character but Sonic anyway.
>Yes, yes you could.
No, you couldn't, that was the whole reason why the somersault was a thing in SA2 in the first place, to keep players from spamming the spindash button. 06 follows the same approach.
>Then it isn't the same thing.
I didn't say it was exactly the same thing, I said it was a clear allusion, a lot clearer than what's in Heroes and Shadow. I'm pretty sure Rouge's segment in Kingdom Valley literally has her collect three Eggman keys like that one stage in SA2.
>No, just having a long ranged attack isn't the as Gamma's gameplay
Again, it's an allusion, he hovers and has combat-focused TPS gameplay built around lock-on projectiles. I never said it was verbatim.
>The sad part about this is that Omega was introduced in Heroes and didn't actually have that ability in the first place.
Again, that just makes it more blatant that they were using Omega to reference Gamma/the mechs from SA2.
>Notice how you only, have "allusions" to being a follow up and absolutely nothing concrete.
Every little bit adds up anon. When you have a game structured like a previous Adventure game, and filled with blatant callbacks to previous Adventure games, you can kind of read between the lines and realize that oh, the devs clearly intended this as a follow-up to the Adventure games. It's like how Sonic Advance was clearly made with mindset of "we're making Sonic 4" even though marketing stepped in and gave it a more sale-friendly title.
