They don't, you can't meet humans the same way you can meet elves, as being an ancient, magical, non-human race with an extended lifespan, different origin, and even living in different, non-human realms, has completely different tonal, narrative and thematic connotations.
You are, overall, not making any compelling argument for why having elves is bad in an even remotely objective manner. You simply like different things that are completely different from elves.
Which is fine. Then play games that don't have elves. That is no argument against elves to like something different more.
