I know it's not outright said in the CYOA, but isn't it basically confirmed that the Evoco Auspices are all Japan's most evil Yokai living inside Mage bodies because Mages SCALE higher than legendary creatures/Gods.

I may be a schizo, but I could have sworn that the CYOA mentioned something about a fox and one of the Auspices implying to be Tamamo no Mae.
