i wouldn't put the cancelling of the book to GW changing whims of Lizardmen, though several creatives involved in the book would agree with your assessment,t but more GW generally push towards wargaming and lack of money or interest in projects like WFPR or Warhammer books when they did the buyout in the late 80s/early 90s a lot od those publishing releases can be pinned on Bryan Ansell buying out the company.
