Squeenix didn't do shit
The mare dev is from a country where he could live for 500 years with the money he already made, this is his way to retire and blame squeenix for it while also scaring other devs away
As soon as someone else does he could tell how absolutely fake and bullshit his server numbers are, running a service like mare even on prime popularity of the game months when it had 30-40k people online at once could not cost him more than 1-2k a month out of the 200k he was making.
The loporrit dev said he would need around 60 extra bucks a month to service the extra 1k people
Do the math for how much the usual 15k mare users would take, considering that most of the people using loporrit is actively fucking the server on balmung while half of the mare players just had it and existed around the world without straining the servers.
